BCM Best of Content Marketing – a great success for our customers and partners

With over 700 entries, the BCM Awards are the largest congress for Content Marketing in Europe. The Content Marketing Forum (CMF) has been awarding the coveted prizes since 2003. The congress and award ceremony took place in Vienna for the first time. More precisely, on June, 14th, in the Vienna Aula der Wissenschaften, a historical location from the 17th century. Especially for the event an app was developed, from which useful information such as program, participants, sponsors, winners, etc. could be taken quickly and easily.

Prizes were awarded in several categories, ranging from corporate video to social media projects and classic customer magazines. Especially in the categories “Magazine B2B”, “Reporting” and “Corporate Books” our customers C3 Creative Code and Content and RG Verlag won awards.

Content is still growing

14 speakers, 8 lectures, 6 workshops – that was the success story of the day. Practical experience, success stories and visionary outlooks provided the necessary knowledge edge in the dynamically developing content scene. Bernd Gorbach, Managing Director of, was there for vjoon. He had many interesting discussions and made new contacts.

In 2017, companies in the German-speaking region invested eight billion Euros in Content Marketing. This is also the result of a CMF study presented in a workshop by Prof. Dr. Clemens Koob from “zehnvier”. Digital media naturally remains the growth driver, but print media continues to play a central role as a source of orientation and impetus. Drastic budget shifts at the expense of traditional advertising are expected in the coming years. Most of these Content Marketing investments are completely new budgets such as strategy development, content planning and content production. But the companies are also open to new distribution channels: they want to try new forms of Content Marketing and work with alternative content channels such as smart speakers, VR and bots.
