What’s new in K4 16?

Release 16.0, March 2025

Support for Adobe Creative Cloud 2025

With version 16, the globally successful publishing system vjoon K4 supports Adobe Creative Cloud 2025 unveiled at the last Adobe MAX, enabling customers to benefit immediately from the new AI features in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Together with this integration, enhancements at various levels of the system ensure that customers can continue to manage their content supply chain efficiently in the future.

New “Article Editor” as a preview part of the release

With version 16, customers can also look forward to a new and modern browser-based editor in the K4 Content Portal. While the Content Editor is primarily used for Content- and Online-First, the new “Article Editor” is aimed at layout-driven content, such as that created with Adobe InDesign and which can also be edited with the familiar Web Editor. With its fresh look, streamlined design and modern interface, the Article Editor offers a completely new user experience. In addition to its enormous expansion potential, it will already offer everything that a next-generation editor should be able to do.

In this initial release of version 16, the Article Editor is available as a preview version - interested customers can already get a first impression and give feedback on usability here. In the medium term, the Article Editor will then replace the existing Web Editor.
